Nature Walks

One of the most popular things to do during guest stays is to enjoy the light to medium grade bush walks down the back of the 100-acre bush property.  We have two signposted nature trails, a 1.5km short track and a longer 3km track via the billabong and waterfall.

Along most of our walking trails, signs provide information about the Australian native plants on the property and direct guests to and from the lodges.  Noonaweena is also home to a wide array of native fauna. It is not uncommon for guests to see rock wallabies, echidnas, and wombats cross their path. What is more, Noonaweena is home to the elusive sugar glider. With regard to our birdlife, both amateur and avid bird watchers will delight in our Birds of Noonaweena photo book, available from reception.

For guests looking to discover more about the indigenous flora and fauna of Noonaweena, one of our managers or on-site horticulturist can be arranged to accompany you on your nature walk at an additional cost.
